The Car­diac Pro­teo­mics Labo­ra­tory at UCLA (sig​na​ling​mo​du​les​.org) is a state of the art pro­teo­mic faci­lity and a Human Pro­teome Orga­ni­za­tion Desig­na­ted Lab. We are see­king a senior labo­ra­tory staff and a post­doc­to­ral fellow with an advan­ced degree in biochemistry/​protein che­mistry. The ideal can­di­date should have docu­men­ted expe­rience in pro­tein iso­la­tion, pro­tein sepa­ra­tion, and pro­tein iden­ti­fi­ca­tion tech­ni­ques inc­lu­ding 1D/​2D elec­tropho­re­sis, pro­tein pre­ci­pi­ta­tion, synthe­sis of recom­bi­nant pro­teins, chro­ma­to­graphy, affi­nity puri­fi­ca­tion, and enzy­ma­tic assays. Sig­ni­fi­cant expe­rience with mass spec­tro­metry for pro­tein iden­ti­fi­ca­tion is pre­fe­rred.
